FREE TIP 1: The title of the Tips is Turn Up - Stand Up - Speak Up.
Turn Up means exactly that. Do not just be at the event. Be at the event for a purpose and make that purpose to be memorable.

Stand Up and walk to the presentation spot, turn and make eye contact with the whole room while making sure you take a breath and stand tall. The speech you have already practised will be delivered with confidence, without verbal crutches and with the tone of the speech changed to stop it being monotonous.

Speak Up. How many times have you missed a vital piece of information about a colleague’s business because their voice has barely reached past the first row of tables? How many times have you missed someone’s testimonial because it has either been whispered or, more often directed only to the facilitator of the group?
 

FREE TIP 2: Speak to the furthest person in the room.
Speak as if there are people there who are hard of hearing.
You have completed the first two stages of Turn Up - Stand Up - Speak Up…The last vital tips are about Speaking. The culmination of all the advice already given.

You are on stage! For up to 60 Seconds, whether you are comfortable or not, all eyes should be on you. They should be on you because your story is important to them. Many of them need your services and if you are not speaking up you are depriving them of your services. Get out of your comfort zone.
